Scottie Wilson Awards
One male and one female athlete from the District are recognised annually at the Midland AGM, and presented with the Scottie Wilson Trophies for outstanding achievement. Nominations are submitted by individual District Discipline Convenors for consideration by the Executive

Athletes Roll of Honour
The purpose of the Award is to acknowledge the sporting achievements of past and present athletes within SASA Midland District, and to reflect on the proud heritage of the District, which has been at the heart of swimming across Tayside for over 50 years.
Anyone can nominate an athlete to be included within the Roll of Honour, provided that the athlete meets the criteria below.

All nominees must have been a member of a SASA Midland District club/clubs at the time of their achievement.

Nominated athletes in the disciplines of Swimming, Water Polo, Open Water Swimming or Diving must have fulfilled one of the following
1) selected for and competed at a Paralympic or Olympic Games, or
2) selected for and competed at a World Paraswimming or FINA World Championships, or
3) selected for and medalled at a World Paraswimming or LEN European Championships , or
4) selected for and medalled at a Commonwealth Games.
All nominations require the approval of the SASA Midland District Executive prior to acceptance and publication within the Roll of Honour

Volunteers
The John Gunning Award and The Chic Mitchell Trophy
The District is proud to acknowledge the achievements of its hard-working and dedicated volunteers. The John Gunning Award is presented to one volunteer from each of the 4 Scottish Districts for outstanding contribution to the work of the District. Awards winners are invited to attend the annual Scottish Swimming Awards Night, where the presentation will take place.

In acknowledgement of the invaluable support our volunteer coaches provide, the Chic Mitchell Trophy is awarded annually for consistent and continuous contribution within Midland District. The Trophy is awarded annually at the Midland District AGM.

SASA Midland District Young Volunteer Award
The award will presented annually at the District AGM to a young person who has excelled in providing support as a volunteer within the District over the preceding 12 months.

Members - District Life Membership
In recognition of outstanding contribution to SASA Midland District over many years, the Executive will consider nominations for Life Membership of the District. Outstanding contribution to individual clubs is appropriately acknowledged by awards presented within each club, or through nominations to Sports Awards within the club’s specific Local Authority area.
Clubs
Club Initiative of the Year Award
SASA Midland District supports growth, sustainability and best practice within District clubs. Strong club identity, inclusion, teamwork and reward help to foster a culture where members can flourish and attain their potential. This Award has been introduced to recognise innovative ideas within clubs, which have had a positive impact on the club environment and its membership
