An evening of excitement was had on Saturday 28th September at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow for the Scottish Swimming Awards Evening.
Heather McCallum from Montrose Seals took home the John Gunning Awards for Midland District. Heather has an astonishing 30 years of voluntary service within swimming and throughout that time has taught hundreds of children to swim, coached Angus squads, and most recently accompanied her squad at SNAGS in 2018 & 2019. Heather is highly committed to her club and has never missed a training session or gala, as well as her club commitments she also holds numerous district posts including licence and 2nd division league convenor. congratulations Heather, we couldn't think of anyone more deserving of the award.
A Massive congratulations to everyone at Kinross Otters who have worked so hard over the past year. What a fantastic achievement to be crowned Scottish Swimming Club of the Year. The club have grown from strength to strength over the past year, congratulations to all the coaches, swimmers and parent volunteers.
