After an absence of over two years, we are pleased to inform that the Midland District Leagues will return in September with a new & exciting format.
Following a review of the feedback provided by clubs ta proposal was agreed by the District swim committee which makes the leagues more exciting & inclusive. Additionally at the Midlands AGM it was agreed for the District leagues to be brought under the control of the Swimming & Championship Committee to ensure alignment to the Scottish Swimming competition framework & provide a more sustainable approach to running the meets.
The leagues will operate as before with League champions & relegation, across two leagues with each District club allowed to enter one team. We’ll be introducing a new Midlands League Final which will take place in May, providing an opportunity for those swimmers in the District that don’t normally get to national events such as SNAGS/Summer to aim for, together with new swimmer awards recognising future talent in the district.
